Local Tim Hortons retail outlets in the London, Ontario area have partnered with London's Forest City Velodrome Association in a new program aimed at involving children and youth in indoor track bicycling.
As part of this agreement, Tim Hortons will lend its name to the upcoming Tim Hortons Winter Nationals, an event taking place on Saturday, February 6th at the Velodrome.
The Tim Hortons Winter Nationals will draw cyclists from across the country to what is sure to be one of the most exciting nights of racing anywhere in Canada this year. Throughout the month of February, local Tim Hortons restaurants will promote the velodrome's popular Saturday afternoon programs for children and youth. Children will receive T-shirts from Tim Hortons promoting cycling in the community and will be invited to attend the new rider sessions at the Velodrome from 2-3pm on Saturdays. As they progress they will be integrated into the 3-5pm youth programs. These Saturday sessions for youth are fun, safety oriented, and challenging.
To register youth riders (12 – 17years old) with this very popular FCV program please e-mail ForestCityVelodrome@live.com.
