Possibly a new high water mark for Friday night racing ... 57 people up on the boards. We may need to add another group if more people show up!
18 riders participated in the A Group and, while early leader Tim Sherstobitoff was absent, challenger Jacob Schwingboth was back with a vengeance, taking two firsts and a second. Mike Sidic managed to get into first place overall by taking a first and third. Young Kyle Buchosky took a second in the 5x10 Points race by taking points in four out of five sprints.
The B Group was a bit of a gong show, with 21 riders lining up for the first race. After about 10 eliminations there was a bad fall in turn one, with Scott Jutson and Jasmine Glasser and at least two other riders going down hard. Unfortunately, it appears that Scott may have a broken collarbone.
In the absence of Lido Crema, Braden Kelly had his hands full with David Stevens. Braden managed only one first, with David taking two firsts and a second to vault into second place in the standings. BVC BoD members Adam Barlev and Stuart Lynne helped David in a fast paced 10 lap breakaway to take second and third in the final 40 lap scratch race.
The C Group had 16 riders on the start line. Young Trevor Pearson continues to dominate the overall with a first, second and fourth, but Ben Rathkamp showed up strong, taking two firsts. Jenny Lehman managed to snag some points to remain in second place overall.
