Stevens Bikes (German bicycle manufacturer) and The Cyclery (Ottawa South bicycle shop) are proud to announce its list of confirmed riders for the 2010 women’s elite racing team Stevens Racing p/b The Cyclery.

Stevens Racing p/b The Cyclery (www.stevensracingcanada.com) returning riders include 2009 Canadian National Track Championships three time bronze medal winner Julia Bradley (Toronto), 2009 Quebec Provincial Cyclo-cross champion Sophie Matte (Chelsea), 2009 Mt Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb winner Sue Schlatter (Ottawa) and Tricia K. Spooner (Ottawa). New to the ten woman squad are Leigh Bianco (Toronto), 2009 Ontario Provincial Cyclo-cross champion Melissa Bunn (Waterloo), Sarah Coney (Ottawa), Rachel O’Reilly (Guelph), Annick Dufour (Montréal) and Michelle Paiement (Montréal).

Following on the success of the team in 2009, Stevens Bikes has confirmed its support as title sponsor and the team’s official bicycle supplier. The Cyclery has confirmed its co-title sponsorship and will provide team support, bicycle maintenance and repairs, as well as general guidance and management. The women will be riding 2010 Stevens SLR and SLC carbon racing bikes.

This will be the second year of operation of the women’s team. While dedicating themselves to the sport of cycling, these women balance family life and professional responsibilities in such diverse areas as law, audiology, pharmaceutical, marketing, doctoral studies, TV broadcasting, entertainment and fitness and well-being.
