The Forest City Velodrome is pleased to announce that, as part of the race night on Saturday April 3rd, the Elite Women’s race will have a $500 Bonus in prizes.  The Elite Women will contest a 100 lap Endurance race with a huge bonus attached to the prize list.  The FCV-Mary Kelly Memorial (April 3rd 2010) will feature a prize list of $500.00 to the top 3 finishers.  The prize list will include, $250.00 for first, $150.00 for second, $100.00 for third.  Lap preems will also be added throughout the event

This event is intended to draw women racers from across Canada and the United States.  The prize pool is the largest purse for women’s racing in the 5 year history of Forest City Velodrome.  A further announcement will be made shortly about the Elite men’s race on the same night.

The prize list will include, $250.00 for first, $150.00 for second, $100.00 for third.

The only qualifier is that there must be 12 starters.  The race will be a mixture of Juniors, Master and Elite women.  The competition will be open competition for all women from the age of 14+.   Registration will be at the Ontario Cycling Association website beginning Monday February 15th 2010.

This is another way the FCV is committed to Women’s racing in Canada and the United States.
