The Pacific Cycling Centre will host its final winter training camp in preparation for the upcoming season from February 26 - March 1, 2010 in Victoria, BC.
The camp is open to all levels and will assist in training and preparation for the season ahead. The camp will work and improve aerobic power, ITT, and climbing technique. Under the supervision of the PCC coaches, athletes will improve their fitness levels and receive feedback on training as they build a foundation for the season.
The four-day camp will cover 500-600 km and will feature tips on pedaling efficiency and learning how to develop a correct technique; recovery based training - learning how to manage your fatigue and recovery from training and competition, and strength evaluations and observation during the dynamic strength sessions.
Cyclists will be observed by the coaching staff, who will give feedback and assist with their 2010 training plans (developing an individual program is not part of this camp). Full support will be provided during the rides.
The camp is free for registered PCC athletes, for other athletes the fee is by donation. In return athletes are asked to submit reports throughout the season informing PCC about their race progress.
The day before camp, on February 25th, athletes can do an optional maximal power test and lactate profiling where test results will be analyzed in a detailed report. This is $130 + GST.
Deadline to apply is February 20th. For more information go to www.pacificcyclingcentre.ca/camps/2010camp2.html.
