The fourth stage of the Tour Méditerranéen was neutralized because of the risk caused by freezing rain.
Shortly after Saint-Paul-en-Forêt (km 114) the race was stopped on the recommendation by the Alpes-Maritimes department . At that time there were three riders involved in an escape: John Faris (Cofidis), Jonathan Thiré (Bigmat) and Dominique Cornu (Skil) with a gap of 1:15 ahead of the peloton.
An improvised finish line was set up and the 3 leaders were allowed to sprint. The results were not added to the overall so there is no change to the GC.
