After a world-class performance at the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008, and in preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Summer Games, Cycling BC is working together with Abbotsford BMX, the CCA, the City of Abbotsford, and Tourism Abbotsford on the improvement of the BMX Supercross Starthill in Abbotsford. This will be the first track of its kind in Canada; help us complete the upgrades before our first international race on May 22nd, 2010!
Your donation goes directly to the track-building budget, which will help many athletes, including Tory Nyhaug, Nick Venetti, and Danielle Brisson (Canadian BMX Champion in 2009), skyrocket towards "owning the podium" in 2012. As evidenced by the recent Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, contributions to sport not only help athletes get to the top of their game, but also help our local communities by giving youth something and someone to aspire to.
For more information about the project, check out cyclingbc.net/abbotsford-supercross-upgrade. We really appreciate donations of any kind; even $10 or $20 will help us reach our goal. Please direct your donations to this link: www.sport.bc.ca/services/nationalSportTrustFund.asp. Tax receipts are available.
Thank you for participating in the development of a fast paced and vital sport for youth cycling development in BC.
