7th groove-RE:FORM Body Clinic Cycling Team to hold an open house on Saturday April 24th from 7-9pm at ReForm Body Clinic 46 Murray St. Ottawa, Ont.
The evening starts at 7pm with live music, food and prizes. The team presentation will be at 7:30pm.
This new women’s elite cycling team one of the few teams that is run by women for women. The co-managers as well as most of the staff are women.
Of the 8 members of the team, from as far as New Zealand and Germany and as close as Toronto, Ottawa and Chelsea, most have professional careers and two are mothers.
The team has already demonstrated its ability to multitask with a 6th place at the Tour of Battenkill (New York) and a 3rd place in last weekend’s Calabogie Classic. They are looking forward to more high level racing the Killington Stage Race in May (in Vermont), and internationally sanctioned races in June.
The team’s title sponsors are 7thgroove, owned by Kevin Field and Sheri Jay (Chelsea, QC); Re:Form Body Clinic owned by Martin Zollinger (Chelsea, QC); and Cycle Power owned by Ken Power (Ottawa, ON). The co-managers are Allison Lampi (Chelsea, QC) and Julia Farell (Toronto, ON). Director Sportif is Samantha Warskett (Chelsea, QC).
