Vancouver’s Only Downtown Bike Event Back for a 7th Year!
The Union Securities Yaletown Grand Prix Back for a seventh great year of downtown bike racing. Yaletown was one of the centres of Vancouver’s 2010 Olympic excitement and the 2010 Union Securities Yaletown Grand Prix will benefit from the completely repaved racing surface and the opening of the Yaletown-Roundhouse Canada Line Station that ties the neighbourhood into Vancouver’s light trail transit system.
On Canada Day, Thursday July 1st racers will again compete on the technical and exciting 900 metre, 6-corner course in Vancouver’s best-known neighbourhood which has produced thrilling races since it became the official route in 2006. The Yaletown Grand Prix is proud to again be a part of the BC Cup Road series that offers the best riders in BC an important developmental racing opportunity. Registration for the race has now opened and riders are encouraged to sign up early to avoid disappointment. 75-rider limits are in place for both the Cat 3/4 and Masters races.
