Summer Sessions Update
(courtesy Warwick Patterson)
The Whistler Summer Session powers up again this weekend with the Gravity Tour and BC Road Championships. The new pro/expert sections of the downhill course are getting nicely worked in, the supercross (bikercross) course is HUGE, and lots of surprise riders are showing up to take part!
Shaums March is in town, and I also spotted Lisa Sher going up the gondola. With the likes of these two, and local rippers such as Daamiann Skelton, Chad Onyschuk, and Sylvie Allen, it's going to be a great weekend!
Place to be this weekend is the bikercross. It's going to be an exciting event, with four riders coming down the course at once. The course has berms that can handle four riders bar-to-bar, some large jumps, and three "pro jumps" (3-6ft drops) before the finish line...a recipe for some very wild action!
