Other municipalities across Canada have trail advocacy and community mountain biking clubs:
WORCA, GORBA, MTBOttawa, etc. Toronto has TORBA (Toronto Off Road Bicycling Association) and this relatively new organization is hosting an annual general meeting (AGM) and needs the community to come together with one voice and work in unity.
TORBA AGM (Toronto Off Road Bicycling Association Annual General Meeting) is on Wednesday, June 2nd, 7pm to 9pm at the Whistlers Grille, 995 Broadview Ave (Cnr Broadview Ave and Pottery Rd)
This meeting is open to everyone and new people: anyone who wants to contribute ideas, be involved, or have a beer are more than welcome.
Main agenda items:
1.Elect board and executive
2. Plan for next 12 months of activity
3. Don Valley Bike Park: Plans are completed and funds are floating about - now we just need to organise our community to motivate Councilors and the City
4. Lobbying efforts to further recognise and enhance Don Valley trails
5. Other items and ideas from participants
