Evans Takes Title, Dupouey Wins Houffalize
The French world champion Christophe Dupouey has won the final event in the men's World Cup cross country series. The most interesting aspect of Dupouey's victory is that he did not wear the jersey of his sponsor Sunn. Sunn has been in financial difficulties all season (one of the reasons Miguel Martinez and Anne-Caroline Chausson left), and Dupouey and other theam members said recently that they have not been paid for months.
Dupouey was dominant, winning by over 3 minutes. Michael Rasmussen was second, Cadel Evans third, Miguel Martinez fourth and Jesper Agergaard fifth.
