Having all safely arrived in Rossland last night, we woke up this morning to beautiful sunshine and were ready to tackle day one of the Future Champions Development Camp.
Up on the list to start things off was a ride for which we were joined by none other than Will Routley, Canada's National Road Champ. With his presence undoubtably igniting some friendly combativity, we completed several mock races that featured some excellent tactical thinking and Cavendish inspired sprint action.
In the afternoon Will Routley gave us an in-depth look at the life of a professional cyclist and the journey it takes to become one. To finish up the day Richard Wooles taught us the art of kit-washing to add to our arsenal of self-help cycling know-how.
