The Canadian ProTour races really got underway today when the European teams arrived at Jean-Lesage airport in Quebec City. A sprinkling of fans, plus local media, showed up to greet them. Ivan Basso said that he was looking forward to racing in Canada, after good memories of the Hamilton 2003 Worlds. He also said that his plans to come to Canada were made long ago, and that he always intended to come here rather than going to the Vuelta. Here are a few photos from the team arrival.
