Speed River CC presents: 3rd Annual Guelph Cross – Southern Cup Race #1
The Speed River Cycling Club is proud to present the 3rd Annual Guelph Cross, the first stop on the Ontario Southern Cup Cyclocross circuit. This is the first of 3 exciting days of racing we are hosting this year, the other two being the 7th Annual Kelso Cross Weekend (October 23-24/10, Kelso Conservation Area) which this year play host to the Ontario Cyclocross Provincial Championships.
The 3rd Annual Guelph Cross is coming up on Sunday September 26th. This event returns to a great venue, the Joe Kaine Fields at Centennial Park, Guelph. Located off of Municipal Street (see website for map) this urban park offers lots of varied terrain with fast off camber and hard cornering on steeper grass sections. With the majority of the race visible at all times this is a course that spectators are sure to enjoy.
Both novice and experienced cross racers are encouraged to come out and test themselves at these events made possible thanks to the generous support of our race sponsors: Speed River Bicycle, Sugoi, Wellington Brewery, and Giro.
There is over $1500 in cash and merchandise prizes up for grabs on race day (details on website).
We are also please to announce that there will be on-site catering at each of our races this year. Catering is being provided by Alex and Dan Catering (www.alexanddan.com), a Guelph-based catering company specializing in the use of locally sourced natural and organic foods. Be sure to try out some of their fine fare after working up an appetite during your race!
Entry fees are $25 per day via pre-registration, with day-of entry available for an additional $15. Pre-registration closes Friday September 24th at noon. Pre-registration is available at Ontario Cycling

One-day event permits will be available for non-licence holders and US domestic licence holder.
