After a successful first season of athletes training inside out, the Cycling Centre is returning for year two.  The program is designed to work towards facilitating athletic growth and development in specific cycling disciplines, preparing athletes for competition or improved performance and overall wellness and general fitness.

Riders of this program will learn the fundamentals of cycling, which will allow them to master cycling specific disciplines from road to track, mountain bike and cyclo-cross, sprint and long course triathlons as well as cross-training for other endurance sports. Athletes who participated in the program last winter went on to become National and World Champions, Ironman finishers, leaders up the hill, and greatly improved their technique, strength, and speed on the bike.

“As a swimmer, I knew that I couldn't rely on my one strength for podium finishes in triathlon.  I knew that I had to work on my bike and decided to join ISM.  After one season with ISM, I improved my average bike split by 4km per hour.  Surprisingly, it also helped me improve my run splits to sub 4:00km for the first time.  ISM helped me to win my age group at Nationals in Kelowna in 2010 and secured a spot for 2011 World Sprint Triathlon Championships in China.”
-Lee Hooper

“I used to finish the swim portion of a triathlon near the front of the pack, and then watch everyone pass me on the bike. After training with the Cycling Centre and coach Petrina, I now not only post some of the fastest bike splits, but have improved my fitness enough to set new best times on the run as well.  I wouldn’t have thought it was possible to improve this much in one season – but I have a summer full of podium finishes to prove it!”
– Erin Churchill

The periodized training program will provide focused work-outs that will work through the key elements athletes need to build on their current fitness to get stronger, faster, and more agile, while providing a social and motivating atmosphere. Each work-out is tailored to meet the goals of the variety of athletes by an experienced certified NCCP cycling coach with over 15 years of experience.

Located at 230 Browns Line in Etobicoke, Ontario, it is a kilometer south of the QEW and Gardiner, just 15 minutes from Oakville, Mississauga, and downtown Toronto.

The program will run from November 2, 2010 to March 31, 2011 on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:15 to 9:15 pm and Sundays from 9:00 to 11:00 am.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION IS $625 UNTIL OCT. 1
That’s a $50 savings and LESS THAN $11 PER TRAINING SESSION
