Despite a very long trip, we are all settling into the village well.
Everything is much bigger than I have ever experienced, the dining hall is a massive tent but is still full at peak hours, and there seem to be a 100 buses to transport the athletes to the venues. I have had to opportunity to speak with a few of the athletes from different sports and it has been interesting to learn about their individual training schedules and racing routines leading up to the CWG.
So far everything has been clean enough and there are not many mosquitoes.
We were able to ride the track and it feels like it might be fast. I am looking forward to getting some hard efforts in tomorrow to really see how it rides.
Cheers,
Monique Sullivan
