The 2011 Tim Hortons Winter Nationals was a spectacular success. A total of 61 riders were entered in the single day, four event Omnium. The racing continued into the evening, with the mass start races taking center stage.
All divisions were well represented, with up to 11 competitors per division. The athletes battled throughout the day to determine the very excited winners.
The FCV would like to thank all the volunteers who gave up their entire day to make sure the athletes were well cared for. The timing of the event was on schedule, with only a few delays to give the competitors time to get properly warmed up for each event.
Special thanks to Tim Hortons stores in London for their generous donation. As always, if you are in a Tim's this week thank your server for supporting cycling ... this will make it back to managers and to the store owners. This will generate the goodwill needed to continue the sponsorship going forward for the FCV.
