Posted by Editoress on 04/23/11

Good morning and welcome to our first report of the 2011 World Cup season. Not much of a crowd out, but it is beautiful day in Pietermaritzburg. The sun is drying the track out nicely after another overnight downpour.

The women are lined up ready to start lap 1 of 5 the 5.8 kilometre circuit.

A BIG surprise this morning is the announcement by Willow Koerber that she will not start.  Reason?  She is pregnant.
