The Town of Ajax is opening the gates of Greenwood Conservation Area to residents and visitors on Saturday, May 28th with a day of free activities and the opportunity to cycle with Mayor Steve Parish. The annual Trailfest event kicks off the festivities in the morning with cyclists leaving from Greenwood on a 35-kilometre tour with Mayor Parish. Following Trailfest, all residents and visitors are invited to the first Discover Greenwood Day which provides an opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to learn why Greenwood is Ajax’s “jewel in the north”.
“I look forward to cycling with residents every year at Trailfest, and this year is particularly special because we are combining Trailfest with Discover Greenwood Day, another great free community event,” says Mayor Steve Parish. “We encourage everyone to come out and see the new Greenwood, from its state-of-the-art pavilion, to the new trails and updated informative signage throughout the park, and to enjoy the many free activities that emphasize Greenwood’s offerings.”
