With just two weeks remaining before the Immunity-FX National Road Cycling Championships and four days before the start of the Tour de Beauce, some top riders were looking to measure their form. To this end Team Spidertech's Svein Tuft and Juvederm-Specialized's Moriah MacGregor attended the regular Phoenix Velo Thursday Night TT in Abbotsford, BC.
Tuft blasted twice around the 15.5 kilometre course in a blistering 36:38, averaging 52km/h, and announcing the return of his form after falling ill during the Tour of Turkey. "It was a perfect test" claimed a lean and tanned Tuft after finishing.
Moriah MacGregor started her riding career with the old Central Fraser Valley Cycle Club nearly 15 years ago and has dropped into various Phoenix Velo events over the years to renew aquaintances and inspire new women riders. Her time of 22:32 for the 15.5 kilometre event shows that she is also on form for a good result in Burlington.
