On June 12th, Bike Parks BC's panel of celebrity judges will dive into more than three hundred contest blog entries submitted by riders explaining what they would blow off to win the Ultimate Summer of Freeride. Mountain bikers looking to win the big prize should enter now; the contest is only open at www.bikeparksbc.com and www.facebook.com/BikeParksBC until midnight on Sunday, June 12th.
A few Bike Parks BC's judges shared what they would blow off to win a season pass at six of BC's best lift-accessed bike parks, $1,000 spending money, two nights accommodation at each resort, DH rig rentals, a half-day with a guide and two lift tickets at each park for their riding buddy to be used over the 2011 summer season:
"If I won the grand prize, I would blow off all four of the weddings I have to go to this summer" - Darcy Turenne, Pro Freeride Mountain Bike Athlete. Darcy is regarded as one of the most progressive female freeride mountain bike athletes in the world and recently earned her MBA in Communications. She grew up on Vancouver Island and is a firm believer the bike parks in BC are some of the best places to ride in the world.
