Stage 3: St-Georges to Mont Megantic, 153.3 km
This is the stage that has been on everyones mind this week, the stage that more often then not decides the overall winner. And the rider on the minds of many is RealCyclist.com's Francisco Mancebo.
This is a new start from previous years, as they head South-East out of town for 25 km and then turn west to connect with the usual HWY 204 after 41 km.
10:20 am - Dominique Rollin (Team Canada) went off for a short test of his legs but was quickly brough back
10:34 am - Just after the 1st sprint, Philip Mooney (Raleigh) jumped away and has 10 seconds at 19 km
10:42 am - A large group has gone off the front

10:52 am - At 30 km. The Team of the yellow jersey Pure Black worked hard and brought the group all together again
10:53 am - Immediately a group of 10 11 went off the front and now have 15 seconds. Randell, Meier, Langlois, Daniel Barry (Pure Black Racing)
10:55 am - Gap inching upwards, now 25 sec. The wind is from the west so they will have a head/cross wind for the entire race.
11:07 am - Chase group of 7 attempting to bridge. They are ~ 30 seconds behind leaders. Leaders have 1:10 on peloton
11:17 am - at 44 km and gap has dropped below 1 min. Barry (PB) is doing no work. Lead bunch now 18
11:24 am - Christian Meier (UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team) is away alone and has 1 min on the peloton which is being driven by Pure Black. They are about to catch the rest of the break group - 53 km
11:45 am - at 70 km and Meier is done. Sits up and waiting for the peloton
11:50 am - 72 km - Another attack and a group of 10 away with a 15 sec gap. Bruno Langlois (Spidertech p/b C10), Nicholas Hamilton (Team Canada)
11:59 am - at 80 km the gap is 1 min

12:22 pm - KOM 1 @ 83 km - Break is: Jim Stemper (Kenda/ 5-hour Energy Pro Cycling p/b Geargrinder), Bruno Langlois (Spidertech p/b C10), Fabio Calabria, Alexey Schmidt (Team Type 1 sanofi-aventis), Morgan Schmitt (UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team), Nicholas Hamilton (Team Canada), Darren Rolfe, Johnnie Walker (V Australia), Yutaka Ohmura (Fuji-Cyclingtime.com), Sergey Grechyn (Amore & Vita), Arnaud Papillon (Garneau-Club Chaussures- Norton Rose)
At the feedzone (86 km) the gap dropped as everyone took on lunch
Gap at 88 km is 1:17
RealCyclist.com has moved to the front of the pelton and is assisting Pure Black with the cahse
12:40 pm - At 104 km and the gap is 45 seconds
12:49 pm - At 106 km gap is 1:10
1:14 pm - At the 2nd KOM - 120.9 km, the gap is 30 sec. RealCyclist.com doing a lot of work to bring the group back.
1:30 pm - 20 km to go - 5 km to the base of the climb.
Still having difficulty with radio/cell contact. Last report had the break still dangling out front by 30 seconds
SpiderTech has been sending several riders across to the break - Randell, Boiley and Tuft
Team Spidertech was pacing Svein Tuft as they started the climb. The leaders had a gap of 52 seconds as they started up. As they climbed Stech riders dropped off teh pace as they did their job.
The group on the climb is 10 riders with Arnaud Papillon (Garneau-Club Chaussures- Norton Rose) out front with a small gap on chasers with 3km to go

1 km to go Sebastian Salas (H&R Block) has attacked, but caught by Colex and Mancebo

Now Bernardo Colex (Amore & Vita) and Francisco Mancebo Perez (Realcyclist.com) are going head to head on the climb
