MIVA 25km Hilly Time Trial on Gabriola Island, BC, June 23rd
A small turn-out for this hard, hilly time trial but a number of good comments about the course. Fast man Don Gillmore and Test of Metal age group winner Janna Gillick both established the records for the course, with Don averaging a shade under 40kph and doing over 85kph down the steep descent on Brickyard. Master D, Charlie Cheffins did an excellent ride in his first ever cycling competition, having been a distance runner in a previous life. Also, thanks to Charlie for holding the other starters before his own departure.
This is a great course and we will be adding it to MIVA's other time trial venues.
