Canadian Cyclist Winners of the Classics Fantasy Tour

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Classics Fantasy Tour - Sponsored by Specialized. This nine event contest began with the Spring Classics and concluded with the Grand Prix Cycliste de Quebec and Montreal races this month. Now that we have allowed time for any changes to the results by the UCI in the final races (there were none), we can announce our overall winners.

Nick Dwyer, a regular player in our Fantasy Pools, can finally say he has won the grand prize, with his team usualsuspects1 finishing first with 180 points. He also had the second place team - usualsuspects3 - but cannot win two prizes. Nick wins the choice of a Specialized Tarmac Elite Bicycle ($2509) / Roubaix Elite Bicycle ($2509) / Ruby Elite Bicycle ($2509).

In second place is Dan Growden (Polecat4) at 174 points. We had a three-way tie at 173 points for the final three prizes, which was broken by time of registration of the teams into the Fantasy Pool. Andrew Lees (faster3) takes third place, followed by John Perkins (astrong1) in fourth and Dan Bradley (Spin Dr1) in fifth. All receive a package of Specialized products.
