After a great first three days, the team is settling in and Wales is starting to feel like home. We've been on the track for the third day, and already the bodies are starting to come around and post some fast times.
Team Meeting
Newport Council and Newport Velodrome have been extremely helpful, and we appreciate their hospitality. It will put us in a great place when we leave next week to head over to London for the World Cup.
Motorpacing
The riders have been getting a mixture of road and track rides in, and enjoying the Welsh hospitality. The team's accommodation is split between a hotel and a 16th century farmhouse. The first few big training sessions come up in the next couple of days, and everyone is excited to set some fast times on this fast track here in Wales.
Thanks to everyone behind the scenes who make this happen, from private people to Sport Canada, Own The Podium, equipment sponsors, and back room staff.
We are truly grateful to be building a great support system around the track program, looking forward to heading to London and winning some medals.
