“2012 has kicked off very well for Team CHCH with a number of new sponsors joining our already impressive list,” said Lloyd Fairbairn, the President and Coaching Director of the CHCH National Cycling Centre Hamilton.
CHCH TV, Louis Garneau, Best Rate Financial, Ideal Fire Protection, DEC Express, Kinetic Sports Therapy, Corbett Signs, Inspire Marketing, SB Partners are the 2012 Sponsors that will appear on the Team CHCH kit.
“We changed our sponsorship strategy to be very specific to our needs, by bringing together a range of sponsors that will assist the Centre achieve its overall goals; the Inclusion of Louis Garneau is very exciting, Team CHCH will be a feeder team into the Senior LG, this will give our young U23 riders the opportunity to be selected for a higher level competition within a very professional outfit. CHCH TV as our Title Sponsor is a great partnership that will see increasing promotion of cycling through their station."
Our sponsorship strategy is not about ‘cash grabbing’, we wish to build long term relationships and utilize the expertise within our sponsorship group to service our members. Having sponsors that can provide services to our members is very important to us; our sponsors assist us in providing a higher level of service in many areas.
The growth of the Centre has been amazing, it has grown from one coach and eight athletes in October 2010 to Head Coach, School Promotion Coordinator, 13 new CI Coaches, and 90 riders as we enter the Spring of 2012.
The Schools program is gaining momentum, with 30 Schools taking part in the expanded and Trillium Funded program this Spring; our conservative goal is to have an additional 50-80 new juniors trying out cycling this summer.
Another new concept for the Centre in 2012 will be the Go Girls! Cycling Program; this will be a girl’s only introduction program, run by females for females!
In addition, we have our Masters Program, which is growing by the day.
And we have not forgotten our International Exchange Juniors; 2012 will see a rider from Australia and another from the USA join Team CHCH at the Le Tour de la relève internationale de Rimouski.
2012 will be a very busy year for Team CHCH; if you are interested in becoming involved as a rider, volunteer, coach, ride leader, sponsor or supporter, contact the CHCH National Cycling Centre at info@ncch.ca.
