Are you passionate about bikes, love sales and have management experience? If so, Sporting Life has the perfect opportunity for you as the Assisant Store Manager at our Bike Store in Toronto!
Responsibilities Include:
• Manages selling team with the objective of attaining location profitability targets, including IPT goals and successful Mystery Shopper results;
• Assist in the planning and organizing of day to day operations of the store, to maximize sales and productivity;
• Serve as a role model for all customer service standards;
• Motivate and leads staff through personal example regarding selling skills, store cleanliness, departmental job lists, health and safety practices, dress code, staff relations and compliance with Sporting Life policies;
• Recruit and select qualified staff in conjunction with the management team and assists with staff development through on-going coaching, succession planning, performance appraisals and fair and consistent leadership;
• Assist in controlling payroll budget while maximizing the wage dollars spent and hours utilized through effective scheduling;
• Adhere to Sporting Life guidelines in performing authorizations for warranties, repairs, returns and alterations;
• Resolves customer complaints through excellence in customer service, and efficient follow up to ensure 100% customer satisfaction;
• Participate with the direction and control of opening and closing procedures and ready for business standards;
• Controls shortage and loss ensuring all loss prevention standards are promoted and complied with by all employees
Qualifications:
• 5 Years retail management experience required
• Must have a passion for cycling and snowboarding
• Comprehensive knowledge of bicycles, parts and accessories
• Able to maintain the smooth operation of the store through the ability to function as part of a cohesive team
• Enthusiasm for serving public and professional business management
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• High standard of professionalism
• Highly sales and profit driven
• Strong sense of urgency in dealing with business and staff needs
• Creativity to organize and maintain merchandise in a visually appealing fashion
• Good analytical and mathematical skills
• Basic P.C., AS400 operating knowledge
