Dave Cathcart just phoned in a report from the prologue of the women's road stage race at the Sea Otter Classic. Elita's Erin Carter took the 3.5 kilometre stage (a lap of the Laguna Seca Raceway circuit) in a time 5:18, 1 second ahead of Saturn's Petra Rossner and Team Charles Schwab's Elizabeth Emery.
