Organizers of the Tour of the Battenkill have announced that 29 teams have accepted invitations to the UCI 1.2 event on Sunday, April 15th. Held in conjunction with the popular Pro/Am event - North America's largest - on Saturday, April 14th, that expects nearly 3,000 racers, the professional men's event returns to the UCI America Tour calendar for 2012.
Twenty one U.S. teams, including Professional Continental Team Type 1-Sanofil and United Healthcare Pro Cycling, 6 Canadian, and 2 Great Britain-registered teams - Team IG-Sigma Sport and Team Raleigh-GAC - will comprise the field. Teams will have a minimum 4 and maximum 6 riders each.
