BC Masters Cycling Association is gearing up for a new and expanded race season, and we wish to invite all Masters to join us for both competitive and social events. New features this season include a Non-competitive Fondo Class for all mass-start events, allowing riders to take a relaxed approach, but still meet fellow riders for time together.
2012 additions to the traditional Race Calendar include a multi-stage event in Kamloops, BC in May and a highly anticipated Alberta – British Columbia showdown in Golden, BC. This event starts with a Hill Climb to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Join the action, meet new cycling friends and support the organizers, who in turn support us and our sport.
BCMCA welcomes both members and non-members to either exciting racing or casual riding at very reasonable entry fees. All events provide 5-year age groups, and all mass start events follow the Australian Pursuit format with staggered age group starts. Both novices and competitive Masters will find their place in these events, and all riders will enjoy post-race refreshments and social interaction. These events are rated as the best value anywhere for all Master cyclists.
