The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) and the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes (FQSC) are pleased to announce a new agreement under which the Centre will provide additional anti-doping education and in-competition testing services in compliance with the Canadian Anti-Doping Program.

“The cycling federation’s decision to seek additional anti-doping services beyond what the Centre can provide provincial sport organizations speaks volumes of its support of its athletes and the sport of cycling,” said Paul Melia, President and CEO of the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport. “With each new partnership, we move one step closer to providing Canadians with a sport system that is fair, safe and open to everyone.”

“The FQSC is firmly committed to the fight against doping,” said André Michaud, President of the FQSC. “In addition to drug testing, we believe that the key to fighting doping is prevention, which requires education. It is for this reason that the FQSC approached the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport and gave new momentum to its Roulez gagnants au naturel! (Ride to Win/Ride Clean) program. We continue to believe that it is possible for athletes to perform at the highest level while respecting the rules of the sport. Many Quebec cyclists have proven this.”
