Skip the cottage, skip traffic. Ride your bike this Canada Day! Round 2 of the Ontario Marathon Challenge is stopping at Mansfield on Sunday. Avoid traffic and ride with people this weekend. Why work on your in-laws cottage when you can work on you fitness.
The XC Mansfield race and ride is your next chance to participate in North America’s only regional marathon series. Choose between the challenge of the 65 kilometre full marathon course, the 30 kilometre Half-Marathon course with fewer climbs or, new for 2012, there is a 15 kilometre Micro-thon for those who want to experience the Big Lap format without all that tedious distance! There is also a free KIDS RACE.
Each course continues our “one big lap” format with no repeats. Come for a ride or come for a race you will love the trails.
Covering four properties in two counties, we have created a course with as few climbs as possible while maintaining long flowing sections of single track. Each property has a different feel. Discover the riding just north of Toronto with out fear of getting lost as the course is marked with over 1000 bright arrows.
The Apogee Leaders Jerseys for the Women, SS, Men under 40 and Men 40+ in the Marathon Challenge are on the line again. Will Michael Dennis carry the jersey into the final leg? Can Michael Mazza win both the Ontario Cup and the Marathon Challenge series?
The 65 kilometre Marathon course features three stocked feed/tech zones, and the 30 kilometre Half-Marathon features one fully stocked feed/tech zones. Each feed/tech zones has a Topeak Floor Pump, Axiom Tubes for 26” and 29” wheels, SuperB multi tools, Finish Line Dry and Wet lube, HEED along with water and bananas. No excuses here!
When you are done, grab a complementary burger (or veggie burger) and some salad and relax while you wait for the podium and draw prizes, and make up stories of greatness on the trail!
