1200 Cash Prize Purse At JABR – Presented By Pearson Financial

Pearson Financial, the proud founding sponsor of Just Another Bike Race ("JABR"), is pleased to announce that there will be cash prizes for the 2012 JABR.

"We are excited and proud to be involved and to be able to give back to this great sport as it show cases the amazing mountain bike trails Squamish has to offer. " said Pete Pearson, President and CEO of Pearson Financial.

In continued support of Mountain Biking, Pearson Financial is providing prize money for first, second and third place overall for both men and women racers with prize money being distributed equally between men and women.

"Equality in prizes for both men and women was an important part in offering this prize purse." said Mr. Pearson. "Being the main sponsor for JABR and now offering a cash purse for the race, Pearson Financial aims to aid in the development of the local mountain biking talent and offering cash prizes in local events benefits our local riders and community by attracting participants from outside of the Sea-To-Sky Corridor thereby increasing competition and awareness of our community’s epic mountain bike trails."

Cash prizes will be distributed equally between men and women with the top prize of $300 will be given for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place.

JABR is the 4th and final race in the Test of Metal Events'"Hell of a Series" set for August 18th, 2012.  Set amongst the epic trail networks in and around Squamish, BC, JABR is a ‘must do'race featuring some of the finest single-track trails in Squamish.  You will be rendered speechless with glee when barreling down the infamous Half-Nelson trail, in awe of your own prowess with the steep Hoods in the Woods, charged with the classic lines and curves of Word of Mouth and the dependable, much loved good ol'Pseudo Psuga. JABR is also introducing the unrelenting Legacy Climb, making its 1st, full debut in the 2012 JABR. Test of Metal Events consists of the following races: Orecrusher, Test of Metal, Gearjammer and Just Another Bike Race.
