While the finish line celebrations and award presentations garner much of the attention, Centurion Cycling is proud to announce another significant result from the 2012 Series: $500,000 was raised for charity!
With the goal of taking the sport of cycling to a whole new level, Centurion Cycling believes that encompasses not only what happens on the bike but also what can be accomplished within the host communities and among the competitors.
“Providing a platform for charitable organizations to raise money is one of the reasons we do what we do,” said Graham Fraser, Centurion Cycling CEO. “An important mandate of ours is to raise millions of dollars for charities.”

Over the last two years, more than $715,000 has been raised for charitable organizations through Centurion Cycling events. The partnership with charitable organizations, both large and small, is one that allows groups to focus their energies on building teams and raising money, instead of planning and coordinating the event.
One organization that has partnered with Centurion Cycling at Centurion Canada (The Blue Mountains) for the last two years raising more than $150,000 is the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation. “It (Charity Partner Program) allows us to recruit riders for our own branded cycling challenge then confidently plug into a world class event to raise significant funds to support our charitable foundation, without the expense and labour required to do it ourselves.” said CDHF Executive Director Catherine Mulvale. Funds raised support the Foundation's education, awareness and research programs.
Along with CDHF, the following organizations were Centurion Cycling Charity Partners in 2012:
• Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
• Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka
• Companions in Courage
• CIBC United Way
• Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation
