Mercury's Gord Fraser won Saturday's stage by nearly 5 bike lengths over Tony Cruz and Vasilly Davidenko. It was the 3rd straight stage win for the Mercury Team.

A super windy, bumpy and hilly course made for a tough race and though there were a number of moves off the front, nothing stuck. 7-up started a train at 5 laps to go and Mercury took over with 2 left. Coming across the line there were less than 10 riders left, with the pack in tatters.

Today is the biggie, with a number of tough climbs near the finish - The Famous Gila Monster Stage
