After an exciting and successful first year, Team Specialized-lululemon moves into 2013 with an increased mission to help grow the sport of women's cycling and to get more women riding bikes.
The team will compete in 2013 with eight existing team members and add three new riders to the roster. After winning over 60 races in 2012, one goal will be to continue on that winning streak with a big emphasis on defending the Team Time Trial World Title in September.

The line up will include returning riders Lisa Brennuauer, Katie Colclough, Loren Rowney, Ally Stacher, Evelyn Stevens, Ina-Yoko Teutenberg, Ellen Van Dijk and Trixi Worrack. New to the team is Gillian Carleton who represented Canada at the London Olympics on the track; Carmen Small who brings experience and great climbing skills to the team and young rider, Tayler Wiles who showed great promise in her European debut in 2012.
"We're extremely happy with our first season," said Team Owner Kristy Scrymgeour. "The enthusiasm within the team and from our partners really helped make the first year successful and a lot of fun. The response to the team also lends a lot of hope to the huge growth potential of women's cycling, something we are very passionate about."
"As well as competing at the highest level, it is a big priority for us to put every effort into growing the sport as a whole. I'm excited about the addition of new teams this year and a deep talent pool across the sport for 2013. I believe it will be an exciting year."
We are very happy to announce the continued support of both Specialized and lululemon as our title sponsors.
"We are excited about the continued partnership with the team and lululemon," said Erin Sprague, Specialized Women's Product Manager. "These eleven women are more than a race team but an inspiration to female cyclists everywhere. We are proud of what they have accomplished and are looking forward to the future."
"We look to continue elevating the team's performance through incorporating yoga into their training routine and providing them with tools for their personal development off the bike. Partnering with Specialized to support these athletes allows us to develop and learn more about the performance of our product and create the most exciting and best dressed team in the peloton!" said Laura Klauberg, SVP of Brand and Community, lululemon athletica.
We also welcome back our technical partners HED Wheels, Oakley, First Endurance, HTC, SRM, Ceramic Speed, Contintenal, Lezyne, PowerBar, Skoda, Elite, SciCon, Defeet, Action Wipes, BG Sportpartner, SVL Sport Insurance and DZ Nuts.
Additionally the team will continue to work together with Right To Play to raise money for its program in Rwanda. The month of November will consist of fundraising auctions of some great team equipment courtesy of our partners. Each item will be announced on our facebook page. Our most recent item was a beautiful custom Stinger Disc wheel from HED Wheels which raised over $1,000
