Our friend and cycling photographer turned film maker Gary Perkin (aka 'Flipper') released his year-long project about Downhill world champion Greg Minnaar preparing to defend his title in his hometown of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa - which he subsequently did last Sunday.

Who is Greg Minnaar? What are his roots? Why is Pietermaritzburg so pivotal in his success? And what is OneLife? We'll attempt to answer these and other questions about the two-time Downhill World Champion and three-time World Cup Champion with this OneLife short.

Filmed over the course of 10 months when travel and plans permitted, from when Greg won the 2012 Downhill World Championships in Leogang, Austria, until the eve of the 2013 World Championships in his hometown of Pietermaritzburg.
