The elite women are lining up for the final XC of the year with only 46 riders taking the start


Canada has just 3 entries: Catharine Pendrel (Luna Pro Team), Mikaela Kofman (Scott-3Roxracing) and Cindy Montambault

Emily Batty is still sick and will not race.


The weather is overcast but dry and temp ~ 15C


They will do 6 laps of the 3.8 km course (no start loop)


The course is pretty much up and down (see profile at bottom of page)


Lap 1

Eva Lechner (Team Colnago Sudtirol) gets the holeshot


Alrready some problems on the first section, flat tires (Kathrin Stirnemann (Sabine Spitz Haibike Pro Team) and Adelheid Morath (Sabine Spitz Haibike Pro Team) has a broken seat post.

Katerina Nash (Luna Pro Team) crashed in the rocks on the descent


Halfway - 5:38 am ET

Eva Lechner (Team Colnago Sudtirol) leading Julie Bresset (BH - SR Suntour - KMC) and Lea Davison (Specialized Racing XC)

4th Irina Kalentieva (Topeak Ergon Racing Team) at 3s

5th Jolanda Neff (Giant Pro XC Team) at 13s

World Cup leader Tanja Zakelj (Unior Tools Team) 7th at 30s back

11th Catharine Pendrel (Luna Pro Team) at 46s

Mikaela Kofman and Cindy Montambault 27th and 28th


The Russian and British teams has 8-10 bikes stolen from hotel ovwernight, but the police recovered them this am


Kathrin Stirnemann has had ANOTHER flat tire on the first lap.


Lap 2

Lechner still leading as they head out for the second lap, Bresset at 1s, Davison at 3s, Kalentieva at 5s

5th Neff at 14s, Maja Wloszczowska (Giant Pro XC Team) moving up to 6th, Zakelj 7th

Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa (Multivan Merida Biking Team) 8th

Pendrel 9th

Kofman 24th


5:52 am ET (halfway)

Bresset has taken over the lead with Lechner now in 2nd at 2s back

Davison 3rd at 4s

Kalentieva 4th at 5s

Dahle Flesjaa 5th at 51s, Wloszczowska 6th at 53s and Pendrel 7th at 58s

Lecjner back in the lead again with Bresset, Davison and Kalentieva all together just behind


The last time Norway (Kristiansand) hosted a XC World Cup was 1996 and the winner was Gunn-Rita Dahle, Paula Pezzo 2nd and Chantal Daucourt 3rd

Davison at 4s

Dahle Flesjaa 5th at 536s, Wloszczowska 6th at 50s and Pendrel 7th at 51s
