The Trek Red Truck Racing Team, along with presenting sponsor Mosaic Homes, is proud to announce a new world hour record set by Masters rider Chris Wilberg of North Vancouver, BC. The record of 38.7 km was set on September 15th, 2013 in Los Angeles, under the observance of UCI commissaires. The hour record is in the Masters category, and was achieved using an “old school Eddy Merckx” style bike setup. The only aerodynamic accessory used by Wilberg was his team issue Louis Garneau skinsuit.
Wilberg’s successful hour record assault follows up on the continued success of Trek Red Truck Masters team member, former Olympian, and Tour de l’Aude Points Champion Sara Neil. Neil sprinted to a World Championship title in the 50+ Masters category in the World Masters Games held in Turin, Italy this past August.
The Trek Red Truck team congratulates Chris and Sara, who continue to inspire our younger generation of elite riders.
