The Ontario Cycling Association announces the second tryout date for the Rising Stars Endurance Development Academy Program at the Forest City Velodrome on Monday, December 23rd.
The Rising Star Endurance Development Academy will be a track cycling program designed to support athletes that have potential and ambition of making it onto an Olympic podium. The program will focus on track skills and athlete identification, that will reach over 200 athletes in the 2013/14 season, focusing on athletes that are between the ages of 13 and 16. Whether you ride/race Mountain bikes, Road or Cross, you owe it to yourself to give the program a try. Deadline for registration is Friday, December 20th.
2014 will be a tremendous year in Ontario cycling with the Mattamy National Cycling Centre (Milton Velodrome), Home of Canadian Cycling, due to be completed by September 2014. Why not learn how to ride the track now?
The next tryout dates are Monday, December 23rd and Thursday, January 2nd at the Forest City Velodrome in London. There will be two camps each day, one starting at 11am the second starting at 2:30pm.
THERE IS NO COST FOR ATTENDING THE TRYOUT. Please download the poster for more information. Athletes will be given the opportunity for further training that will take place in January and February in London at the FCV. Top performing athletes will be selected to attend a California Track Camp in April 2014.
