Save the date! The Bike to School Project is holding an evening for cycling advocates to meet interested students, teachers and school board staff on February 27th at CultureLink Settlement Services, 2340 Dundas Street West, Suite 301, Toronto.
From 2013 to 2016, the Bike to School Project will deliver cycling educational programs in 16 Toronto high schools to enable diverse students, parents, teachers and staff to discover the personal, community and ecological benefits of cycling for transportation in a safe, healthy and happy way.
The project is a collaborative of initiative of CultureLink Settlement Services and Cycle Toronto, with new partners the Toronto Cycling Think and Do Tank and Evergreen. The summer program component, Bike Host, ran from June to October. It sought to involve parents in the school served by CultureLink's Settlement Workers in Schools program. Thanks to the Cycle Toronto members and supporters who responded to the callout for donations of children's bikes!
The student program started in September 2013. Read more about the Bike to School Project so far in the 2013 summary.
