Mont-Ste-Anne, the longest running event on the Mountain Bike World Cup circuit, will add an Eliminator to its event this year for the first time. The Vélirium festival and World Cup takes place this year on July 31st to August 3rd, and will feature all three World Cup disciplines - the Eliminator, Downhill and Cross-country. The Eliminator will take place on-site at Mont-Ste-Anne, and will kick off the World Cup action on Friday, August 1st, followed by the Downhill on the Saturday, and finishing with the Cross-country on Sunday, August, 3rd.
The Vélirium Festival will also feature the well received City8 urban/dirt style event in Quebec City (Place d'Youville) on Thursday, July 31st. In addition to the competitions, Vélirium will once again feature the Family Zone, the Exhibitors' Village, bringing together the biggest names of mountain bike industry and many memorable parties held in the Tremblay Lounge at the foot of the mountain!
The Pumptrack Epic as well as the Critérium iBike will also return, following the new fixed-gear bike trend. Complete schedule to been published soon at www.velirium.com.
