Stage 7 - Tours to Limoges 205.5 km

Christophe Agnolutto (Ag2r) has given France its first stage victory since 1998. He went clear at the 86 kilometre mark, eventually reaching a maximum lead of 8 plus minutes. The peloton began to reel him back in in the final 60 kilometres, but he held on to win by 1:11. Marcel Wust (Festina) took the field sprint for second over Erik Zabel (Telekom). Wust will take over the Green Jersey from Tom Steel (Mapei).

Notes:

- It is Erik Zabel's birthday today.
- Stuart O'Grady is out of the Tour with a broken collarbone after his crash yesterday (he was still tough enough to finish the stage though...).

Sudbury Cycling Club Criterium Championships

This grand event will be held Sunday July 9th, 2000 At Delki Dozzi Track.

Registration will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and racing will commence at 11:00 a.m.

Categories: All (if there are fewer than three per category the races will be condensed)

Distances:
Cadets: 20 km
Women: 20 km

Juniors: 35 km
Veterans: 35 km

Senior Men: 50 km

The winner in each category will be claimed the Sudbury Cycling Club Champion for 2000.

Entry Fees:
This is also our club membership drive weekend:
- $5.00 Club members,
- $10.00 non-members

Prizes: Cash (Pot of entries distributed to top riders)
