The UCI has announced the top events in the season long Mountain Bike World Cup series. Meribel, France, took top honours in the Downhill category, while Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic, was voted best event for both Cross-country and Eliminator. Canada's Mont Ste Anne finished third in each of the three categories.
The awards are determined by voting at the conclusion of the season by riders, team managers, journalists, sponsors and UCI staff [Note: Our editor is one of the journalists included in the voting]. Each voter picks their top-three in the three disciplines.
