January 2/15 12:08 pm - Track Nationals Begin on Saturday

The first event at the new Mattamy National Cycling Centre velodrome in Milton, Ontario, will take place this weekend with the Canadian Track Championships. The Track Nationals run Saturday through Tuesday, for both Elite and Masters riders, as well as the Para events.

Racing begins Saturday evening with the qualification and finals for the team events - Team Pursuit and Team Sprint. Sunday will see the Sprint take place as well as the first events in the Omnium. On Monday, the Omnium concludes, along with the Scratch and Points races for the Masters categories, and the Time Trials for the Para riders. The Nationals finish up on Tuesday with the Para and Masters Individual Pursuits, the Keirin (Elite and Masters) and the Madison (Elite Men only).
