The organizers of the Preston Street Criterium and eQ Homes have joined forces to put on Ottawa's longest-running cycling event.
eQ Homes will be a presenting sponsor of the 2015 and 2016 editions of the event, which will be called the Preston Street Criterium presented by eQ Homes. It will take place on it's traditional Father's Day date, which falls on June 21st this year.
"We take great pride in our role in creating communities, and events like the Preston Street Criterium are an important part the diversity that makes up Ottawa," said eQ Homes president Denis Laporte. "We're delighted to help continue this great tradition."
This year's Preston Street Criterium will be the 43rd edition of the race, which has taken place in the heart of Little Italy since the first edition back in 1973.
"We are thrilled that eQ Homes has decided to partner with us and help us continue this legacy event," said Bike Race Ottawa president Doug Corner. "Their support will help us make some important improvements to the Preston Street Criterium, in particular growing the women's race."
The Preston Street Criterium presented by eQ Homes also enjoys the support of the Preston Street BIA, Rogers TV, The Cyclery, Pub Italia, Flynn and a range of other local companies and suppliers.
