The Chilean Olympic Committee has announced 2011 Pan Am Games bronze medalist Carlos Oyarzun failed an Out-of-Competition pre-test for FG4592, an oral compound developed to treat anaemia by producing red blood cells. It is in pill form rather then traditional injectible compounds. The Chilean team withdrew Carlos Oyarzun from their squad. In total, 12 athletes have been implicated in doping to-date at the Pan Am Games.
