Track World Cup #5 - Ipoh, Malaysia
Report from Doug Baron.
It's late Saturday night and just finished supper. I rode tonight in the 5th to 8th place final in the match sprint. I spoke with Eric V (head coach) and we decided to put on a larger gear for the race. It paid off as I was able to win the ride for my best ever result at the World Cup!! This 5th place has given me enough points in the overall standings to move up to (I think) about 10th overall. This secures my spot at the worlds in the Match Sprint event :).
Tomorrow I am looking forward to the Keirin event as my form is starting to improve (I am getting over the Jet Lag). More news to follow tomorrow
