On Saturday, October 17th, Erace Cancer Cycling Team 2015 is holding a fundraising event from 1pm to 5pm at the Leaside Pub in Toronto (kids welcome) with all proceeds going to support Camp Oochigeas (www.ooch.org).
Sponsors and athletes have provided a dazzling array of silent auction items, prizes and giveaways for this event. Music will be provided by "The Downshift Band", with drummer-cyclist Chris Chambers, so this promises to be a thrilling afternoon of fun, prizes and auction items for the cycling community - all in support of "Ooch".
Camp Oochigeas provides programs and experiences for kids affected by childhood cancer. They run extensive programs at their In-City location, the Hospital for Sick Children, and at camp in Muskoka.
Over the past 3 years, Erace Cancer Cycling Team has raised over $200,000 through its athletes, sponsors and donors. At 3pm, a cheque will be presented to Camp Oochigeas of the funds raised during the 2015 season.
Check out the Erace Cancer website (www.eracecancer.ca) for silent auction and prize details. (Pre-bidding on auction items is available by contacting pkofman@rogers.com).
